Making your Claim
Even if you do not wish to make a claim on your insurance policy, you must always tell your insurer about an event. If you do not report it, you may find that this leads to problems later on when you do wish to make a claim.
Car & Van Claims
What to do in the event of a Road Traffic Accident:
- Always stop and exchange the following: Name and address of those involved, vehicle registration numbers, and telephone numbers. It is essential to obtain these numbers. If you have a camera or camera phone, and without endangering yourself, take a few photographs of the incident for information.
- If there has been an injury contact the emergency services immediately for assistance.
- Please immediately contact M.I.S. on 028 90410220 to report the claim.
At Alan Brown & Company we use the services of M.I.S. (Motorist Insurance Services) to handle our motor claims, and liaise with insurers to quickly deal with the aftermath of road traffic or other incidents. M.I.S. are a one stop service to deal with your claim and can be contacted at throughout the week for assistance.

Home Claims
Home Claims can be logged with M.I.S. on 028 90 410220, who will take the details of the incident and forward this onto your insurance company. It is likely that your insurance company will contact you directly with a claim form for completion at a later date.
It is also useful to photograph the circumstances of the claim at home when it has happened, particularly in the case of theft, or physical damage.
